Formbar are pleased to announce that we are the exclusive UK distributors for the Polycart range of innovative plastic shopping trolleys. Although the term plastic is seen as a negative these trolleys do not deform or rust meaning little maintenance is required. They are also sturdy and lightweight and the rounded edges mean less damage is done if the trolley was to hit any fixtures in a store, or hit a parked vehicle. However, if they do get damaged in any way any broken parts can be recycled as can the whole trolley. The manufacturing process is clean and eco - friendly unlike the tradition wire trolley. Polycart trolleys have no scrap value as there is no metal, meaning money is saved from not having to re purchase stolen ones. Family trolleys are a great asset to any store. Our family trolley range meets all current guidance by using a minimum of the 210 Litre capacity trolley with a braked castor. We stock the traditional rectangular wire baskets however we also have an exclusive design. This exclusive alternative we call The Ellipse is an oval wired basket, still strong and durable just in a unique shape. These are more attractive, ergonomic and hold more, which suit a variety of retailers from farm shops to delis to pharmacies and department stores. We have standard handle colours however we can have bespoke colours produced to match your brand. The Ellipse can be coated so that it is the traditional metallic or even brass, we have other colours for powder coating too so please call us for more information. Produce crates have been used in stock rooms and grocery displays for a long time and now they are an integral part of the online shopping process. With online shopping becoming increasingly popular there is a higher demand for produce crates. The advantage we have over other crates is that ours nest inside each other when not in use and stack safely on top of each other when full of produce, this saves you floor space. Polycart plastic trolleys are made with the environment in mind, although these trolleys are plastic.
These trolleys are made from very high-quality plastic so the life span is longer than a traditional wire. Also, because they are plastic they have no scrap metal value so are never stolen, meaning you do not have to re order to replace them. These trolleys are fully recyclable when they are no longer wanted. Plastic recycling is much less energy consuming and efficient than metal recycling. Being plastic this means they do not rust, which means they do not need re plating like a wire trolley would. All manufacturing scrap parts are re-melted at the Polycart factory and then recycled into other products that do not need virgin raw materials. Unlike metal shopping trolleys no plating processes are involved in the manufacturing of the Polycart trolleys. Therefore, this avoids the use of chromic acid, hydrochloric acid, nickel chloride, nickel metal, nickel sulphate or sodium bisulphate, the manufacturing process includes plastic injection moulding. During the process no toxic substance is ever dumped into landfill sites. Polycart trolleys have a tight nesting distance from 160mm to 250mm, this allows for many trolleys to be loaded onto a truck meaning the transport isn’t greatly affecting the environment.
Shipping & Returns
This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only for physical goods, purchased Formbar Limited (the "Physical Goods").
What does this limited warranty cover?
This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period.
During the Warranty Period, Formbar Limited will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
What will we do to correct problems?
Formbar Limited will either repair or replace the Product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts or products depending on what is the most appropriate solution.
How long does the coverage last?
The Warranty Period for Physical Goods purchased from Formbar Limited is 1 year from the date of purchase.
A replacement Physical Good or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original Physical Good or 180 days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer.
What does this limited warranty not cover?
This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship.
What do you have to do?
To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.
We are happy to accept returns of our products as long as they are in an unused condition and you let us know about your intention to return the products within 7 days of delivery.
We charge a 10% re-stocking fee with a minimum charge of £20.
We charge for collection of the products by our courier. This will be charged at cost.
If you prefer you can return the goods yourself to our warehouse, please call or email us for the address. The re-stocking fee will still apply.
We will credit your account when the goods are received back to our warehouse in saleable condition.
If the products are branded with approved artwork then we may be unable to take them back into stock. If you have a concern please call us to discuss, we will always be fair and transparent in our decisions.
If you have received any items damaged we accept full responsibility. If the packaging is damaged please sign it as such with the courier so we can claim through them for the damage in transit. We will either arrange to collect and replace your goods or if appropriate send in our maintenance crew to mend the damage.
Our standard policy is 3 orders paid through proforma invoice and then a customer can apply for a credit account.
In the case of the NHS, Schools and large corporates that are only able to order with a purchase order system then we will accept and despatch the orders.
All credit decisions are at our Managing Directors discretion.
We make every effort to ship within 48 hours of receiving an order. For the majority of the UK all boxed consignments are despatched on a next day courier service and larger orders are palletised and shipped on a 48 hour service. For orders that meet certain thresholds in volume and weight we use dedicated vehicles. We can ship worldwide but depending on the delivery address the time frame does vary.
All carriage is charged at cost, we believe in honest carriage rates through which we do not make a profit. We will always make every effort to make you aware of the cost of shipping when the order is placed.
